NanoSteel Alloys as an Alternative to Hard Chrome
NanoSteel® alloys can be applied as an alternative to hard chrome, austenitic stainless steels and nickel based superalloys in plate form on hydraulic cylinders, rams and other components on heavy equipment used in industries such as mining and construction.
NanoSteel alloys offer corrosion and wear resistance equivalent to hard chrome, austenitic stainless steels and nickel based superalloys in plate form.
NanoSteel alloys allow for high application rates with high deposition efficiency. NanoSteel HVOF coating surfaces can be finished down to 5-6 microinches and NanoSteel TWAS coating surfaces can be finished down to 10-14 microinches. NanoSteel HVOF and TWAS coatings meet Military spec MIL-STD-1501, which requires hard chrome and alternative material surfaces after plating to be finished down to 8-16 microinches.
NanoSteel Alloys are Environmentally Friendly
The iron based material chemistry of NanoSteel alloys result in environmentally friendly coatings that have a very minimal impact on the environment and are highly recyclable.
