NanoSteel to Exhibit at 2006 FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Monday, October 30, 2006) - The NanoSteel Company, a leading producer of nanostructured steel alloy materials for industrial applications, announces that it will exhibit in Booth 12166 at the 2006 FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show (FABTECH/AWS) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga., October 31 - November 2.
NanoSteel launched its new Super Hard Steel™ (SHS) weld material for PTAW hardfacing applications last month at a tradeshow in Canada. The FABTECH/AWS tradeshow will mark the first time NanoSteel has presented its complete product line of patented GMAW, OAW and PTAW weld overlay materials at a tradeshow on U.S. soil. NanoSteel’s SHS weld products have no tungsten carbide, no nickel and no matrix, yet they offer a unique combination of high hardness greater than 70 HRc and significant toughness. These attributes make NanoSteel’s SHS weld products excellent alternatives to tungsten carbide materials for use in extreme environments where severe abrasion and impact are encountered.
In addition to participating as a booth exhibitor at FABTECH/AWS, NanoSteel will also be one of several companies making a 45-minute presentation about bringing new products to market that feature innovative technology. Daniel J. Branagan Ph.D., NanoSteel’s chief technical officer, will deliver “Steeling the Future with NanoSteel” at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, in the Innovation Theatre located in Exhibit Hall B.
The FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show is one of the largest metal forming, fabricating and welding tradeshows in North America. For more information, visit www.fmafabtech.com.
The NanoSteel Company, Inc., headquartered in Providence, R.I., develops and markets a range of patented SHS nanostructured materials that can be applied with a variety of widely available industrial processes, including thermal spraying, welding and laser cladding. NanoSteel’s proprietary alloys cost effectively solve or alleviate many of the problems that have a destructive or costly impact on industry today, including wear, erosion, high temperature oxidation and corrosion.
