SHS HVOF and PTAW Alloys are Atomized Powders

NanoSteel produces its powders for HVOF thermal spraying through inert gas atomization using argon gas to produce high yields of powder in a targeted size range of 15 - 53 µm. Atomizing conditions are optimized to produce feedstock with a high degree of spherical particles for superior flowability and
a high degree of glass content.

Powders for PTAW welding are produced through centrifugal atomization in a targeted size range of 53 - 180 µm. Atomizing conditions are optimized to produce a high degree of spherical particles for superior flowability.
