SHS TWAS and GMAW/OAW Alloys are Cored Wire

SHS cored wires for TWAS thermal spraying and GMAW and OAW overlay welding are continuous electrodes composed of an alloy sheath formed around a core containing metal powders. The wires are manufactured to specifications that ensure smooth, trouble-free feeding, consistent chemistries and reliable arc performance.

Depending on the alloy and intended application method, SHS alloys are currently available in 0.045” (1.2 mm), 1/16” (1.6 mm), 7/64” (2.8 mm) and 1/8” (3.2 mm) diameters.
