High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF) Thermal Spray Process
High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying utilizes a combination of oxygen with various combustion gases (i.e. hydrogen, propane, propylene and kerosene) to spray high density coatings. In the combustion chamber, burning by-products are expanded and expelled outward through an orifice at very high velocities to form a coating on the surface of a metal substrate.
