ID Clad Wear Pipe

High Hardness and Exceptional Abrasion Resistance

NanoSteel® wear pipe is designed to deliver long lasting wear resistance in extreme industrial service environments.

NanoSteel’s patented SHS 9800 alloy is applied as weld overlay hardfacing to the inside diameter (ID) of the pipe by a process developed by Trimay® Wear Plate Ltd. using technology under license from The NanoSteel Company.

High hardness and toughness properties are combined with exceptional resistance to sliding and slurry abrasion for

• Extended wear life
• Better price/performance ratio over competing materials

Minimal Elongation and Pipe Shrinkage
Maintaining a consistent 15% dilution rate allows a continuous weld bead to be applied evenly on the ID throughout the entire length of the pipe, resulting in

• Minimal elongation – Less than 1%
• Minimal shrinkage – Under 1% on the ID
• Strong cohesion between the ID overlay and substrate
• Easy on-site pipe alignment and installation

Bead orientation is perpendicular to material flow for even wear resistance throughout the length of the pipe.

Connection Options
NanoSteel wear pipe can be manufactured to connect by flange or threaded joints.

Each joint is a flush fit, which reduces wear and results in a longer lasting weld seam at every connection.

Transitions and Bends/Elbows
A range of sizes are offered for transitions and bends/elbows welded continuously on the ID.
