Two Distinct Uses in Materials Manufacturing
Nanotechnology is the understanding and control of matter at the nanoscale level, which is defined as a length scale of 1 to 100 nanometers. Nanotechnology involves imaging, measuring, modeling and manipulating matter at this scale to improve physical, chemical and biological properties for the creation of new and innovative materials, devices and systems.
In materials manufacturing, there are two distinct uses of nanotechnology – bulk materials nanotechnology and particulate materials nanotechnology. |
