How small is a nanometer?
NanoSteel’s patented Super Hard Steel® (SHS) alloys feature microstructures refined to a nanoscale, a length of scale which is defined as 1 to 100 nanometers.
Grains refined to a nanoscale in the microstructures of SHS HVOF and TWAS thermal spray coatings can only be seen through the lens of an electron microscope.
